| Wear resistance |
Quick-Step laminate
flooring resists a great deal of wear
without showing any traces. This is due to the overlay,
the top layer of the Quick-Step laminate flooring, which contains
microscopic corundum particles. |
| Impact resistance |
Due to its hard HDF (High Density Fibre) base
board, Quick-Step laminate flooring can withstand sudden and
localised knocks such as those created by stiletto heels, falling
objects. On the other hand, the floor can withstand long-term
local strain caused by chairs, cupboards, table legs, bed legs
etc. |
| Scratch resistance |
You can walk on Quick-Step laminate flooring
without fear of scratching. Neither high heels nor office chairs
on wheels are a problem (for office chairs, you can buy special
wheels). It is recommended to put felt pads or plastic caps
under chair legs or furniture feet. |
| Sensitivity to stains and cleaning |
Sauces, spaghetti, jelly and sticky drinks
have been the end of many fitted carpets or solid wooden parquet
floors. With Quick-Step laminate flooring, spilling something
doesn't have to be a disaster. Dirt can simply be removed with
a slightly damp cloth, without leaving a mark. Your Quick-Step
floor looks like new again!. |
| Resistant to chemical households |
What may appear to be obstinate stains such
as marker, lipstick or nail varnish can be removed with a little
acetone. |
| Cigarette test |
A burning cigarette that falls onto the floor
and continues to burn for a few seconds does not leave
the slightest mark or discolouration on Quick-Step laminate
flooring. Try this test on another floor! |
| Reaction to fire |
With the high density of HDF, Quick-Step laminated flooring
has very low flammability compared with parquet and soft floor
coverings. This guarantees a longer period to evacuate people
in the event of a fire.
The best result in this area was obtained in combination
with PS-aluminium underfloor. This type of subfloor distributes
the heat concentration: the heat is dissipated over the whole
surface, which has an inhibiting effect.
|
| Colourfast |
When you want to move your furniture, you won't
see differences in colour on your floor. (Test EN 438-2.16/Blue
ref.>6) |
| Renovation |
Quick-Step is an ideal product for the renovation
of existing flooring because it's not a major task. You can
install Quick-Step on an existing floor such as stone floors,
wooden planks, short-pile carpet and vinyl sheet and tiles. |
| Acoustics |
When analysing sound, a distinction is made
between 2 different types of sound:
- Transmission sound -
Reflection sound
For both types of sound, the subfloor is very important. |
| Dimensional Stability |
With its high-quality HDF
board, Quick-Step can be used even in situations where there
is temporary slightly higher humidity, unlike other wooden materials
such as solid wood, chipboard etc... |
