About the Carpet Shed

• The Carpet Shed was established as a remnant warehouse in the Goods Shed of the old Ilminster Railway Station in 1993.

  With plenty of space in the Goods Shed to display remnants, roll stock and samples - along with ample FREE parking in the old station yard - customers soon came to appreciate the convenient and relaxed shopping environment.

• The Carpet Shed's growing popularity soon led to expansion in 1994 to an adjacent warehouse. With 4,500 sq. feet of warehousing, hundreds more remnants could be displayed from the carpet industries' major manufacturers and wholesalers.
• In 2007 continuing growth led us to move into a larger warehouse, now with a total area of almost 6,000 sq feet allowing us to stock dozens of rolls too!
  With over 500 carpet remnants in stock at any one time, there are many super, top quality bargains (we don't sell seconds!) available to carpet your home.
• Not only is there a large selection of good quality room-size remnants but also 'The Carpet Shed' can supply many carpets and vinyl floorings to special order.
